Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Sous Chef for their kitchen with a focus on their event and function catering.
This is a very exciting role with opportunities and benefits for the right person. The company caters to a whole host of private and corporate events for large national companies and no two days are the same, catering for numbers ranging from 100’s to 1000’s.
This is a quality food operation, whilst catering for a high volume. This is a large kitchen and you will assist in its smooth running with the Head Chef, overseeing an existing team. You will be expected to undertake a bit of cooking, mixed with managing people on a day to day basis.
Most importantly they need a team player and leader who will do whatever is necessary to make sure that the kitchen runs like a well-oiled machine. You will need to have exceptional people-management skills and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written at all levels.
This position would suit a Head Chef/ Sous chef with a background and career progression within the large business/ possibly branded Hotels, Cruise Ships and or Events.
• Sous Chef
• Basic salary up to 30K
• Straights and split shifts
